First Date Rules

Here is a list of some very important rules to observe on a first date:

1. Do not be late for your date: Most self respecting ladies do not want to be kept waiting even for a single minute. If you made arrangements to meet your date at 5p.m don't plan to get there for 5p.m. You have to endeavor to get to the place at least thirty minutes before the appointed time so that if you are thirty minutes late due to circumstances beyond your control you will at least get there at 5p.m. If you then happen to get there at 4:30p.m better you wait for her than she wait for you.

2. Be nice to the restaurant staff: If you happen to go to a restaurant for a meal on your first date don't talk down to the restaurant staff thinking that will impress her. On the contrary, she is going to believe that is the way you treat everybody under your authority and if your relationship with her is going to last she will be right to assume you will talk to her like that one day. You can even go further by giving a tip to the restaurant staff. One day, I went on a date with a girl. We went to a restaurant in London. After I paid for the meal I asked her if we could leave and before getting up from her seat she put her hand in her bag and brought out five pounds, which she left on the table as tip. To say I was embarrassed would have been a gross understatement. Talk of a dating oops! Remember not to flirt with the waitresses as well!

3. Turn off your mobile phone: I really cannot speak for you guys but I don't know of any lady I could take out on a date who would be impressed if I took a call in the middle of a date and started talking about some multi-million Dollar deal I was closing. For me the rule is, switch off your phone or put it on silent and out of sight during a date unless you are a medical practitioner on call. Taking a call in the middle of a date simply implies that the call is more important than the person you are with. That should never happen on a first date. It's bad enough if you pick the call at all and it's completely unacceptable for you to embark on a lengthy conversation right in the presence of your date. Your date would think you are a very rude person and that first date might turn out to be your very last.
