Shy Guy Tips For Attracting Women

One of the things that most shy guys don't realize is that there are many women out there who find them fascinating. I'm one of them!

I once read somewhere that love is a power game. Each person is trying to have the ultimate power. To be the one in control of the relationship. Why? So they don't feel vulnerable. So they can feel safe.

Shy guys are really appealing to a lot of women for this reason. It makes us feel powerful, which allows us to have one of our most important needs met- to feel safe. Not too safe. But safe.

So don't be too quick to throw off your mantle of shyness. It's got a lot going for it.

Shyness is a normal human reaction to situations of stress. Think about animals that freeze when they're faced with danger. It's a safety mechanism, to protect them from predators. See a snake, stand still, don't move. It only realizes you're there if you move!

So, in its way, shyness is a part of that 'freeze' mechanism. Your brain 'locks' and you can't think what to say. You don't know what to do. And if you force yourself to move, you get clumsy. And this only makes it worse.

Whether you're staring at a grizzly bear or a beautiful woman asking you a question, the result is often the same. Your brain goes into 'danger' mode and initiates 'lock down'. Your brain thinks it's doing you a favor. You feel like a fool.

So what can you do about it?

Have something to say ready. Practice it often, so it becomes a natural response when 'lock down' happens. You could try for something really appealing like 'Wow you're beautiful!' or 'amazing' or 'incredible'. A lot of women won't believe you if you say they're beautiful. They'll think it's a line. So words that send the same message can often be better in getting across your awe.

What if you learn this off and she isn't any of these things? Hey, do you freeze like that for just anyone? If so, you may have to do some serious work on your self-confidence. But if it's mainly when faced by a woman you really fancy, then it's as good as anything, to break the freeze.

If you want to be even more intriguing, just look at her and stammer out 'Oh, wow!' She'll have to say 'Wow what?' if she has any curiosity at all. If she asks what? You can then stammer out the 'You're amazing'. She'll be flattered and you'll have made it through the first few interchanges.

You should have broken the 'lock down' by this stage, so you can go back to the start. Say something like 'What was it you asked me?' You get to have her answer your question then, and get another run at it. If you still can't seem to work out what she's saying because you're brain-dead. Tell her so. 'Sorry, I'm coming across as an idiot, but I can't seem to think straight at the moment.'

Be honest about what's happening and give the impression that it's really happening because of her- that you usually aren't a nervous wreck. That will please her no end. She'll feel powerful. And safe. And in control.

But you can take back the control later, once you've hooked her. But let her have her moment in the sun. She deserves it, if she's attracted your attention!
