How to Practice Romance on Women

If you want to keep your women around, happy and satisfied, and have the relationship moving forward and vital, romance must be nurtured and given a prominent role. Here are several ways for men to be more thoughtful, spontaneous, and romantic to women:

Pay for the date with class.
Don't make it a major production. There is nothing worse for a women than to be made to feel as if she is obligated to you because you picked up a tab. It makes you look cheap and she may just develop a chronic headache.

Drop her an unexpected note, e-mail, or a poem.
You don't have to be long winded just sincere. Women appreciate knowing that you are thinking about them even when they are not around.

Actively listen and act on what she tells you.
If she mentioned in passing that she liked a particular restaurant, take here there. If you noticed her buying a particular magazine at a newsstand, get her a subscription to it. If you know her favorite color is yellow, bring her yellow roses. Showing her that you are alert, attentive, and thoughtful will be very impressive.

Don't pay attention to other women when you are out with her.
Never compare her or her attributes to another women, especially when you are with her. If you are dumb enough to do it anyway, don't tell her about it. Make her feel as if she is the sole object of your affection, which she should be, and not involved in a competition.

Spend time alone with her.
Focus on her. Take her away from her everyday routine and lifestyle. Id doesn't have to be expensive, just a diversion. Take her on an unexpected weekend getaway or suggest that two of you visit her parents. Take her shopping and actually be involved, appear interested, and don't complain. Go grocery shopping with her for all her favorite foods then prepare a candlelight dinner that you make from scratch. Make sure you clean up your mess as well. Her only effort should be to enjoy the meal.

Avoid checking your watch as if the time you have available to spend with her is limited.

Women appreciate knowing that they are welcome part of your life and you enjoy their presence. They should never be made to feel that you are altering your day of life to "fit them in" or that an hourglass is measuring the time you have to spend with them.

Practice chivalry with no ulterior motives in mind.
Open doors for her when you get there first, but don't race ahead and make a scene. Offer her your coat if and when she might be cold. Leave a brief message on her voice mail when you know she is not home. Drop her a e-mail to say you were thinking of her. Bring her flower simply because it is Wednesday. The unprompted, unexpected, and romantic gestures of love mean the most.

As a result of being in an exceptional relationship, great things will happen. If you are both contributing equally and fully to an exciting partnership, you will reap the tremendous benefits from that investment. As you practice romance on one another and develop a deeper level of commitment and satisfaction, certain promises will be realized. Some may come true more quickly while others may take a bit more time, but they will always be realized if you work diligently for them.
