A honeymoon is your chance to relax and regroup after what has likely been a very hectic time in your lives. The ideal honeymoon should last two weeks. If you can swing that much time, go for it. Location is important, but not as important as being alone together.

Sometimes you can forget the good manners that you practiced before you were married. When you are living together you may have a tendency to stop being considerate of each other in little ways that can make a difference. There are a million little things that diminish the quality of life in your home. Maintaining a loving atmosphere of respect and good manners makes each of you feel important to each other. And when these little things are lost, it's not uncommon for one of you to become disillusioned with the marriage.

Tell Each Other

In today's world, consideration goes beyond simply good manners. It's important for each of you to let the other know:

- If you're going to be late coming home
- Where you are
- Where you're going to be in the immediate future
- What time you'll be home
- A meeting place in case you are separated in a catastrophic event
- A couple places (friends, family) where you can leave messages for each other, if necessary
