1. Programing your mind for success

Fact is, you should get your mind straight before you go out for the date. Just because you're a minority when you're in USA/Canada doesn't mean you should feel inferior. In fact, embrace the fact that you're a minority! Celebrate it. Why? Because you're offering something unique.

Why do you think White guys have yellow fever? Because Asian women are foreign and unique. I know from personal experience some white women have yellow fever also. So be Oriental and proud.

2. Pick up lines that work!

When it comes to pick up tactics, you don't want to avoid weird tactics. Just smile and introduce yourself. Go up and say "Hey, my name is _____. You look like a fun person. How is your night going?"

Homework time: next time you're at a club or bar (or other social venues where women are expected to be approached) I want you to go to the next 10 women and try the exact same line.

It doesn't matter if you don't know what to say after the line -- executing it and getting the experience is what matters. You're practicing a skill set, after all.
