Do you make a habit of calling him without even thinking of the possible consequences? Are you wasting hours of your life sitting by the phone just hoping and praying he'll call? And when that call doesn't come in right away, do you panic and fret? Before you pick up that phone and make that call, read this.

When women meet that great guy and they've had a great time with him, the temptation to call him to see him again soon can be overwhelming. We miss him. We wonder if he's thinking of us. We hope he wants to see us again. This nail biting time can be excruciating, but showing great restraint can have greater rewards than giving in.

Calling a guy gives off one sure message; desperation. Of course, in these modern times, some men may be open to the idea of getting a call from a woman. Some may even be pleased to receive your call, but this is a risky move to make.

If you do choose to make the call, keep this in mind. Listen to his response and tune in to his pleasure or displeasure and react accordingly. If you choose to ignore his displeasure and continue to call whenever you want to hear the sound of his voice, you run the risk of having him simply not pick up whenever he sees that you are calling.

When he is pleased to hear from you, keep the conversation light and make sure you're not giving him the impression that you're checking up on him. As time goes on, the relationship itself will dictate how, when and why you should be calling. But at all times, you should show some restraint and avoid becoming a nuisance.
