What is a Real Cougar Women?

Being a Cougar is really about being a sophisticated, intelligent independent woman and, in my opinion, by all means being a Cougar is a symbol of empowerment as a woman. I can only tell you that some of us have earned this power due to the fact that we've grown through challenges in life and aren't afraid to do whatever we want without being afraid of what others may think of us and that goes for dating whomever we please; not necessarily dating an 18 year old or a 24 year old when the woman is in her 50's or 60's.

Any strong minded and assertive woman who dates a younger man is considered to be a "Real Cougar", no questions asked.

If a Real Cougar won't find the sophisticated male who treats women with respect and integrity, she will simply say, "Next," until she finds her perfect date or a match for a long term relationship or whatever works for the two love birds... as long as there is mutual honesty and agreement between the two..

I personally recommend each individual to be clear and honest with each other as to what they are after, since cougars are about asserting her own personal power and if you can gain her trust, you are welcome into her fascinating world.

Why is honest communication important? Simple, honesty for a cougar means no baggage, no hidden agendas, no mind games, everything is out in the open, and as a result, everyone is happy and no one is left with bad feelings.

Please remember, If you don't believe in spoiling a woman or treating her to a drink, be open about it, maybe she doesn't mind at all and maybe for her it important that her man is the one who takes care of her. There are no rules to the game and every one understands dating and hooking up differently, so why not be open about it? It will save you and others hurt feelings.

Besides, some people have no problem dating a man who dates other and some women will, but in general no woman wants to be in a position of dating a man who is dating other women at the same time. And why is this? For many reasons: but the primary reason is she does not want to risk getting a sexually transmitted disease.

But now I am really curious, so let me ask you all something: What are the reasons you would date more than one man or woman at a time and what are the reasons that you would only insist upon a monogamous relationship?
