Dating in the Workplace

A good thing about having a crush on someone in the workplace is that it may encourage someone who's wardrobe game is not up to par to tighten up a little bit. What does that mean? It may include buying that business suit or a couple extra polo shirts to enhance your outward appearance in keeping the eye entertained. Having a liking for someone you work with may also help with having the right verbage to keep positive conversation going. The feeling of wanting to date a co-worker is not uncommon, as it happens often in all areas of the working industry. It's ok at first to feel awkward to the entire "dating at work" thing, because that's normally how everyone else feels that does date someone where they work at.

Here's a few good things to keep in mind about dating a co worker. First, it's important to always keep proper etiquette, meaning if you see her, always say "good morning". You can add "dear, honey, sugar, or honey plum" if no one is around. If you're a man and greeting her around her female co workers, just be cordial and keep it moving, because ya'll might have agreed to keep the dating in the workplace confidential, so no one will find out. Guys, always treat her to lunch without her asking you. Why so? If for any reason ya'll were to part ways, she can look back on her dating experience with you and think of some good things you did for her spontaneously. Besides, you still have to look at her everyday thereafter, so always remember to be respectful no matter what the outcome of the ending relationship may be. Even if it means smiling at her while you walk by and saying nothing, it still shows some form of respect that you still acknowledge her.

Ladies, if you have an eye for a guy at work you want to date, think of something creative to say to him that'll capture his interest. In addition, you can capture his mind and eye exclusively for you by wearing that special workplace outfit "maybe a pinstripe petite business suit" with those sexy open toed high heel corporate pumps, that just might spontaneously have him complement you. You can get his attention silently by standing next or close to him and kinda glance at him for 2 seconds with that "swift eye" and then just turn turn your eyes elsewhere. Or, what may work also is complementing him on how you like his business outfit. This in turn may help you two strike up interesting conversation to see how well you are in mental compatibility.

In whatever you engage in dating wise with someone you work with, always be respectful of one another, if and when the time comes to physically depart from each other. It's best to do it this way because you still have to look at one another. Also, it may determine afterwards if you keep your job. Most of all, take any workplace dating situation as a stepping stone towards maturing for the next experience that may come afterwards.
