Cancer women have strong personalities. They are sympathetic, loving and compassionate. When it comes to relationships with their family or partner they are protective and fiercely loyal.

To those that don't know them very well cancer women can come across as moody or touchy. This is because cancerians need to develop trust before they will come out of their shell.

For a start you need to know that they thrive on emotions. So you want to try and make an emotional connection with them. Give her a compliment and try to draw her out. Talk about her family or things that she might be attached to such as her favorite pet or hobbies. These women are incredibly imaginative so ask her about her fantasies or future plans.

You can not rush into a relationship with cancer women. They will need to get to know you before they will let you into their life. Spend some time around them without making any movements about forming a relationship until she starts to open up.

Share about yourself. Not too much, but just enough to bring out her natural instincts of being sympathetic and compassionate. When she can empathize with you she will trust you much more.

They generally like the arts or cultural events, so when you do take her on a date, take her to a musical event, such as the opera or to a romantic restaurant with musicians. Cancer women are careful about spending money so don't expect her to share the bill.

Because of their strong emotional connection cancer women will know if you are just acting so always try to be genuine with her.
